39 Luxury Loft Condominiums

7 Custom Panoramic View / Two-Story Penthouses

20,000 Sq. Ft. Commercial / Retail Space

The historic Walker Building was built in 1929 and designed by Meyer & Holler Inc. of Los Angeles, who also designed Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. The property was built to house Walker’s Department Store, which remained a solid downtown Long Beach retailer for many decades.

Plans for adaptive reuse of the Walker Building have begun. Designs include trendy first floor retail. Floors two, three, and four will be transformed into luxury Manhattan-style loft condominiums. Additionally, seven spectacular penthouse units are planned for the rooftop level.

The 46-unit residential element of the historic Walker Building will be an extravagant departure, unlike anything else within the City of Long Beach.

The lofts on floors two through four will be immaculately restored to their original Art Deco style featuring 14-foot ceilings, central heating and air-conditioning, gourmet kitchens including professional series Viking ranges with custom designed hood ventilation systems, European style bathrooms with large walk-in showers, and state-of-the-art features such as wiring for high-speed internet access and multiple pair phone lines. The penthouse units will have spectacular city views, private terraces, and a private access elevator.
